joint venture marketing
Here’s what Dana Willhoit (a 17 year veteran in the Journalism industry) has to say about using PR to attract credible Joint Venture partners.
When you’re looking for joint venture partners for your company, it pays to get creative and think outside of the box.
One way to find joint venture partners is to harness the power of press releases. This may not sound like a natural fit at first…and this is to your advantage!
Writing a press release to let other companies know that your company is seeking partnership deals is a powerful way to solicit quality joint venture partners. But this is not a venue that many companies have taken advantage of when they are seeking joint venture partners, which is good, because it gives you the competitive advantage in using this medium.
Simply having a well written press release distributed all over the web will give your company credibility and stature. It will also bring your company to the attention of other companies who have exactly the skills and resources that you need to complement your own company’s strengths.
Another way to use press releases is to take advantage of the great information available on press release distribution sites. They are the perfect place to search for companies which are in complimentary markets to your own. Most press release sites are searchable, so you don’t have to just look through the press releases on the front page; you can search for the sites that are most appropriate for you.
You can then contact those companies and propose JV deals which would benefit both of you. Again, since most companies aren’t aware of this method, it is likely they haven’t been approached by anyone else in this manner, and will be receptive to hearing what you have to say.
